The image of a tree transcends cultures, languages, and experiences
it's something we can all relate to. In the Tree of Life project, participants engage in a meditative storytelling session to create a wire medallion while sharing their personal tree-inspirations and reflecting on the importance of nature. The medallions are then attached to standardized, utilitarian chain-link fence as a piece of a collective public art work.
This project aims to draw on the universal symbol of a tree to encourage reflection on the natural world, and to inspire community pride through art in public spaces.
